Location: Columbia, MO

Pay: $17.00–$19.00 per hour (based on experience)

Position Overview:

RE/MAX Rental Resources is seeking an organized and customer-focused Showing Specialist & Leasing Associate to support the leasing process for residential rental properties throughout the Columbia area.

This position combines office responsibilities with time spent showing available rental properties. The successful candidate will coordinate appointments, conduct property showings, communicate with prospective residents, and assist with administrative leasing tasks while providing professional customer service throughout the rental process.

Successful candidates will likely have experience in customer service, leasing, hospitality, retail sales, or other client-facing roles and enjoy building relationships, staying organized, and working in a fast-paced environment.

This position works a rotating schedule that includes weekday, evening, and occasional weekend shifts.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Coordinate, schedule, and conduct property showings while providing prospective residents with information about available homes, rental qualifications, and the leasing process.
• Communicate with prospective and current residents by phone, text, and email to schedule appointments, answer questions, and provide timely follow-up throughout the leasing process.
• Process rental applications, prepare leases for approved applicants, receive rent and other payments, and maintain accurate leasing records using company software.
• Monitor available properties, document showing feedback, and report maintenance or safety concerns observed during property visits.
• Collaborate with leasing staff and office personnel to provide responsive customer service and support day-to-day office operations.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have:

• Prior customer service, sales, leasing, hospitality, or related experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, and the ability to learn property management and scheduling software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Valid driver's license with a corporate-insurable driving record.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Requirements:

This position includes a combination of office work and travel between residential rental properties. Duties involve driving throughout the Columbia area, entering and exiting vehicles frequently, walking properties, climbing stairs, using a computer, and performing repetitive tasks such as typing, phone communication, and handling paperwork.
