Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPart-Time Respite Caregiver – AM & PM ShiftsHomecare LLC is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and patient Female Respite Caregiver to provide in-home support to an individual with an intellectual/developmental disability who uses a wheelchair.This is a part-time, split-shift position with hours available in the morning before the client attends their day program and in the afternoon/evening after the client returns home.ResponsibilitiesThe Respite Caregiver will assist the female client with daily routines while promoting dignity, safety, comfort, and independence. Responsibilities include:Assisting with morning grooming and personal careHelping the client get dressed and ready for their day programAssisting with the client's wheelchair and mobility needsProviding appropriate supervision and companionshipAssisting with the client's routine after returning from the day programSupporting activities of daily living as neededMaintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environmentFollowing the client's care instructions and established routinesCommunicating concerns or changes to the family and Homecare LLCCompleting required service documentationSchedulePart-Time – AM & PM Split ShiftsMorning: Assist client with grooming, dressing, and preparation for day program.Afternoon/Evening: Provide respite care and assistance after the client returns home from day program.This position is ideal for someone looking for consistent part-time hours before and/or after a traditional workday.QualificationsExperience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferredExperience assisting individuals who use wheelchairs is strongly preferredComfortable assisting with grooming and personal carePatient, compassionate, dependable, and respectfulAble to follow instructions and maintain professional boundariesMust complete required background clearanceCPR/First Aid certification required or willingness to obtainMust complete Homecare LLC's required respite staff trainingAbout Homecare LLCHomecare LLC provides in-home respite services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
