Clinical Provider/Psychologist [Remote]

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Clinical Provider/Psychologist based in Australia.

This is a fully remote, freelance opportunity for a registered Clinical Psychologist seeking a broader impact than traditional one-to-one therapy.
You will provide evidence-based psychological care while also contributing to workplace assessments and psychosocial risk initiatives.
The role combines clinical practice, workplace mental health, stakeholder engagement, crisis response, and research collaboration.
You will work primarily through scheduled 60-minute telehealth sessions while maintaining flexibility over your working hours.
The position offers exposure to both individual client care and organisation-level mental health programmes.

Accountabilities

• Provide evidence-based psychological therapy through virtual and, where required, in-person services, following applicable professional standards and clinical governance requirements.
• Maintain a high-quality clinical caseload focused on individual client needs, personal growth, safety, and measurable outcomes.
• Conduct psychological and workplace-related assessments, including return-to-work, psychosocial, functional, and other relevant assessments.
• Manage cases and coordinate care when required, including monitoring risk, arranging appropriate follow-up, and escalating concerns in line with clinical protocols.
• Contribute to psychosocial risk assessments and workplace mental health programmes, translating clinical expertise into practical recommendations for organisations and their stakeholders.
• Prepare clinically sound reports, recommendations, and other documentation while maintaining appropriate standards of confidentiality and professional practice.
• Collaborate with client representatives and internal teams as a trusted clinical partner, helping ensure services remain safe, evidence-based, and aligned with agreed standards.
• Support crisis and critical incident response activities when required, including psychological first aid, group briefings, individual stabilisation, follow-up, and appropriate escalation.
• Contribute to research, evaluation, data collection, and applied workplace mental health initiatives, including collaborations with academic and research partners.
• Help strengthen clinical programmes and continuous improvement efforts by applying evidence, practitioner insights, and outcomes data.

Requirements:

• CISP registration is required; AHPRA registration is preferred but not mandatory.
• Master’s or Doctoral qualification in Clinical Psychology is required.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience providing psychological therapy and assessments.
• Experience in case management and workplace-related assessments, particularly return-to-work assessments and workplace reporting, is highly regarded.
• Experience with psychosocial risk assessments or workplace mental health programmes is highly regarded.
• Strong clinical judgement, communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence working across individual clinical care, organisational settings, and stakeholder-facing environments.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with clinical, operational, and cross-functional colleagues.
• Experience supporting complex, high-risk, or safety-critical populations is advantageous.
• A strong commitment to evidence-based practice, clinical quality, ethical care, and continuous professional development.
• Candidates should be comfortable using telehealth technology and delivering structured 60-minute virtual sessions.
