Our Company is looking for long-term employees that we can invest in and grow with as we pursue our mission of being the premier commercial truck dealer group.General Job DescriptionThis position will be responsible for parts shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, maintaining accurate records of inventory transactions, and the supervision of other shipping and receiving personnel.The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position.ResponsibilitiesOversee the daily operations of shipping, receiving, and the parts warehouse.Supervise the daily work activities of shipping and receiving personnel.Receive parts into DSI business system and warehouse parts to the assigned bin and rack locations.Operate pallet and lift equipment.Adhere to inventory control procedures and conduct cycle counts daily and weekly.Control inbound and outbound freight billing.Secure warehouse from unauthorized personnel.Process core and return parts to help ensure full credit and recovery.Ensure warehouse equipment is maintained in safe operating condition.Monitor environmental compliance (MSDS) and advise Parts Manager of potential storage risks.May occasionally deliver or pick-up parts off-site using a company vehicle.Represent the Company in a professional and courteous manner when interacting with customers.Minimum Job Qualifications18 years of age.High school graduate or GED.2 years of related shipping, receiving, and warehouse experience.Desired Job QualificationsDemonstrated ability to lead other employees.Valid driver's license in the state of employment and a qualified MVR abstract.Proficiency with computer applications.Mental Capability RequirementsComprehension: Ability to understand complex problems, collaborate, and explore alternative solutions.Organization: Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules of others on long-term basis.Reasoning & Decision Making: Ability to make decisions with moderate impact on immediate work unit.Communication: Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word, communicating orally with others accurately, loudly, and quickly.Mathematics: Ability to compute, analyze, and interpret numerical data for reporting purposes.Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
