The Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board (H-NNCSB) is looking for a compassionate and reliable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the team at the BJ Roberts Behavioral Health Center in Hampton.

BJ Roberts offers a supportive therapeutic environment for adults experiencing acute mental health and substance use challenges. On the overnight shift youll provide essential nursing care support medication needs monitor individuals well-being and work with the care team to promote safety stabilization and recovery.

Required qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited LPN nursing program
• One year of medication administration experience in substance abuse treatment psychiatric care or long-term care (including dispensing narcotic medication)

What Youll Do

• Provide nursing care and medication management to adults receiving behavioral health and substance use services including controlled substances and methadone when applicable.
• Complete physical and mental health assessments intake and follow-up interviews and supportive nursing interventions.
• Monitor medication orders inventories secure storage counts and documentation to ensure safe and compliant medication practices.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists providers and the multidisciplinary team communicating changes in condition and clinical concerns as needed.
• Maintain accurate clinical records while supporting a safe therapeutic environment for individuals receiving crisis and behavioral health services.
