DescriptionControllerLocation: Glendale, CAOnsite | Confidential SearchWe are conducting a confidential search for a Controller on behalf of a well-established distribution company in Glendale. This is a fully onsite position reporting directly to the owner and overseeing an accounting team while remaining highly hands-on in day-to-day accounting operations.The Controller will be responsible for managing the general ledger, leading the month-end close process, overseeing inventory accounting, and supporting the owner with a range of accounting and finance needs. This role requires a strong operational accounting background, leadership experience, and the ability to work closely with ownership in a dynamic environment.ResponsibilitiesOversee daily accounting operations and manage the general ledgerLead the month-end close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reportingSupervise and mentor accounting staff while remaining hands-on in core accounting functionsManage inventory accounting and related reconciliationsPartner directly with the owner to support accounting, financial reporting, and broader finance needsMaintain internal controls and ensure accuracy across accounting processesSupport ongoing financial analysis and operational decision-makingRequirementsQualificationsBachelor’s degree required10+ years of accounting experience, including Controller-level experiencePrior experience within distribution or manufacturing environments requiredStrong background in general ledger management, month-end close, and inventory accountingProven leadership skills with the ability to supervise a team while remaining hands-onSage 300 proficiency a plusAbility to work onsite full-time in GlendaleFOR IMMEDIATE CONSIDERATION please apply to this posting.
