Maison Chinoise Restaurant Manager Opportunity

Maison Chinoise is looking for an energetic and experienced Restaurant Manager to help lead one of Houston's premier upscale dining destinations. This position plays a key role in driving operational excellence, cultivating a high-performing team, and ensuring every guest receives an exceptional dining experience that reflects the standards of our brand.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who enjoys being on the floor, coaching employees, building guest relationships, and creating a culture of accountability and hospitality.

Primary Responsibilities

Restaurant Leadership

• Direct and oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure seamless execution of service.
• Maintain a strong presence in the dining room and support the team during peak business periods.
• Lead by example through professionalism, urgency, and commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Partner with the Executive Chef and leadership team to ensure alignment between front and back-of-house operations.

Team Development

• Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor service team members.
• Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to support employee growth.
• Create a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and excellence.
• Assist with performance management, corrective action, and employee engagement initiatives.

Guest Relations

• Build meaningful relationships with guests and cultivate repeat business.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest feedback and service recovery situations.
• Ensure every guest interaction reflects the elevated hospitality standards of Maison Chinoise.
• Monitor service quality and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Business & Financial Management

• Support sales growth and profitability through effective operational management.
• Monitor labor utilization, scheduling, and productivity.
• Assist with inventory controls, purchasing oversight, and cost management initiatives.
• Review daily operational reports and key performance indicators.

Compliance & Standards

• Ensure adherence to all company policies, health regulations, and safety procedures.
• Maintain exceptional standards for cleanliness, organization, and appearance throughout the restaurant.
• Enforce responsible alcohol service practices and all applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of management experience in a high-end restaurant, luxury hospitality venue, or fine dining environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate service-focused teams.
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, staffing, scheduling, and guest service management.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain composed and effective in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Experience

• Background in chef-driven, Asian-inspired, or upscale dining concepts.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, and beverage service.
• Experience managing high-volume dining rooms while maintaining elevated service standards.
• Familiarity with restaurant management software and POS systems.
