Diversified Sourcing Solutions (DSS) is currently hiring an experienced Shipping Clerk for one of our valued manufacturing clients.

We are looking for a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented candidate with strong computer skills and experience working in a fast-paced shipping, warehouse, manufacturing, or production environment.

Pay: $20.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Job Summary

The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for coordinating shipping activities, processing orders and paperwork, maintaining accurate inventory and shipment records, and communicating with internal departments to ensure materials and finished products are shipped accurately and on time.

The ideal candidate must be comfortable working with computers and various software systems while maintaining a high level of accuracy and organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process shipping documentation and paperwork.
• Enter and maintain shipping, order, and inventory information in computer systems.
• Process incoming and outgoing orders accurately.
• Verify product quantities, descriptions, lot numbers, and shipping information.
• Prepare bills of lading, packing slips, labels, and other shipping documents.
• Coordinate shipments with internal departments and transportation providers.
• Receive incoming materials and verify shipments against bills of lading and purchase orders.
• Inspect incoming materials for damage and report discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and materials.
• Track shipments and provide updates as needed.
• Assist with inventory control and maintain accurate product and lot information.
• Communicate with warehouse, production, and other departments to coordinate shipping needs.
• Ensure materials are properly packaged, labeled, and prepared for shipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and established procedures.
• Assist with other warehouse and shipping duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Strong computer skills are required.
• Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory, order processing, or warehouse operations preferred.
• Comfortable using email, Microsoft Office, and computer-based inventory/shipping systems.
• Strong data-entry and typing skills with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to learn and navigate company software and systems quickly.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable and dependable attendance.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move around the facility for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
• Ability to safely handle shipping materials and packages.
• Ability to work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to maintain accuracy while performing repetitive tasks.
