Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 3+ years of experience for a night shift travel assignment at a tertiary, Level 1 trauma teaching hospital in Portland, ME.

Details

• Works as part of a facility-wide respiratory therapy team of 14–16 RRTs covering the entire hospital
• Patient population includes adult acute and critical care, pediatric acute care, NICU, PICU, and ED
• Patient ratios are 1:25 for acute care and 1:8 for critical care
• Ventilators and equipment used include Dräger V500 and VN500, Hamilton T1 and C1, Respironics V30, V60, Trilogy line, Airvo, and Vapotherm
• EMR: Epic
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 36-hour work week
• On-call requirement: 2 hours for the oncoming shift
• Floating required between adult acute/critical care, pediatric acute care, NICU/PICU, and ED
• 25-mile float policy between facilities as needed
• 26-week contract based in Portland, ME

Requirements

• RRT credential required
• BLS required; ACLS preferred; NRP required for NICU coverage
• Minimum 3 years of RRT experience
• Experience in a tertiary, academic teaching hospital required
• Level 1 trauma center experience required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• License required if applicable
• 2 references required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• NICU/PICU and cardiothoracic experience preferred
• Scrubs are provided or flexible
• Use of AirPods, laptops, and cell phones on the unit is prohibited
• Candidates who have worked at any affiliated system facility within the past 12 months should disclose this at time of consideration
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any affiliated system facility in Maine or New Hampshire are considered local; local candidates are not eligible for renewals or extensions
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
