As a Security Officer Screener in Portage, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor access points, conduct screenings, and support security-related operations with professionalism and strong communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.43 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, bags, packages, and/or personal items entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and established screening guidelines.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or delivery information, and help to deter unauthorized access within the logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around screening areas, shipping and receiving zones, and the perimeter, as directed by site procedures and business needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
