Our company leadership and skilled electricians build trust through best-in-class services, quality workmanship, safety practices, and reliability.The Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and budgeting activities concerned with electrical construction projects. The desired result is that our projects are run efficiently with maximum profitability and high customer satisfaction.Essential duties and responsibilities include overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion, engaging regularly with customers, building trust by consistently meeting project deadlines and customer expectations, participating in estimating hand-off meetings to establish project budgets and initial project expectations, establishing project schedules, ensuring manpower is appropriately assigned to projects, creating cost code allocations from initial estimate, identifying pre-fabrication opportunities, overseeing all multi-trade coordination efforts and scheduling, working with Corporate Safety Director and GF to ensure jobsite workers are adhering to Gaston safety rules and regulations, working with GF to increase jobsite efficiencies and to remove any obstacles to worker productivity, maximizing project profitability and identifying ways to reduce installation costs, managing small and large package buyouts, participating in WIP meetings with accurate cost-to-complete estimates, pricing and negotiating project change orders, managing vendors and tracking all deliveries with the assistance of project coordinators, identifying all constructability concerns and issuing timely RFIs, leveraging Spectrum Project Management software to complete required activities, collaborating with Project Coordinators and Project Engineers as required for assistance in purchasing and delivery tracking, software inputs, permit pulling, change order management, project close out materials, administrative duties, etc, leveraging relationships to identify future work opportunities.Qualifications include 5+ years electrical construction project management experience, BS in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering desirable; four year degree or equivalent years of education and/or experience required, electrical construction knowledge gained through an apprenticeship program is acceptable, strong communication skills – verbal and written – that promote "working together", independently manage projects beginning to end and drive projects to close successfully, ability to estimate work for change orders, ability to demonstrate urgency and problem solving skills, organizational and time management skills, demonstrate responsiveness to external and internal customers and ownership of your job and responsibilities is critical, ability to mentor junior project managers, demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, knowledge of Spectrum Construction Software a plus.Physical demands include sitting, seeing, talking, and hearing; using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; walking, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; occasionally lifting and/or moving up to twenty-five (25) pounds; specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Work environment characteristics include sitting for long periods in front of a computer and also traveling to field locations as needed; working outdoors, being exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical and electrical parts; high, precarious places; dust, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions, extended exposure to sunlight; cold and heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration; noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.Benefits include complementary medical, dental, and vision coverage, along life insurance, disability, a 401(k) Savings Plan, College Coach and employee assistance program.Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled. Other compensation: bonus eligible.
