Radiologic Technologist

JOB SUMMARY Radiology Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography (CT) is responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures to assess patients for medical conditions, as well as participating in the daily operations of the CT department. Key Responsibilities Perform CT scans for diagnostic purposes, following established protocols and physician's orders. Position patients correctly to obtain optimal image quality. Administer contrast media as required, following established protocols. Ensure proper operation of CT scanning equipment and troubleshoot minor issues. Maintain patient safety and comfort during procedures, including radiation protection measures. Document patient information, procedure details, and equipment used in the patient's medical record. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Participate in quality assurance activities and departmental meetings. Schedule / Shift Tuesday through Friday 10:30 AM - 8:00 PM Unit / Specialty CT Scan / Radiology Unit Information Typical staffing is 4 techs + supervisor daily. Weekend staffing is 3 day staff, 1 night staff. Day Shift includes 2 techs: one from 7 AM - 5 PM, and one from 9 AM - 9 PM. Afternoon tech M-F from 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM. Night Shift: 1 tech from 7 PM - 7 AM (cross-trained tech located in X-ray who moves between X-ray and CT). Equipment includes 2 in-house scanners (128 and 16 slice) and 1 mobile unit (64 slice). Required Qualifications Minimum of 6 months of current CT Tech experience. ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Preferred Qualifications Night shift experience. Trauma I or Trauma II level experience. Experience with GE equipment. Experience with Meditech and Centricity PACS. Skills Proficiency in performing CT scans. Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology. Ability to operate and maintain CT equipment. Excellent patient care and communication skills. Critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Highly motivated and able to work independently.
