Press Brake Operator

Brake Press Operator Skilled Trades Specialists is seeking Brake Press Operators for a local Fabrication Shop. 2nd shift is 3:00 pm to 12:00 am. Responsibilities: Set up and operate machines to bend, form, cut and shape metal sheets according to blueprints and specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequence of operations. Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and make necessary adjustments to achieve desired results. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area. Qualifications: Previous experience operating brake press/plasma/shear or similar equipment in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment. Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting engineering drawings. Familiarity with stamping press operations and the use of calipers, micrometers, milling machines, and other precision measuring instruments. Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles. Experience with programming press brake machines is a plus. Ability to use hand tools and operate overhead cranes for material handling. Familiarity with CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines is preferred but not required. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
