Technician - Metallurgical Process Control - 2nd Shift

Responsibilities Perform temperature uniformity surveys on thermal processing furnaces at Columbus Forge manufacturing facility. Calibrate and maintain electronic measurement and test equipment (MT&E), including temperature controllers, temperature indicators, and temperature recorders. Act as issue resolution focal point working with engineering, customer service support, and operations to drive continuous improvement in products and processes. Collect and analyze data to identify adverse trends and improvement opportunities. Participate on cross‑functional team projects to improve the overall organization. Work in a team environment and handle multi‑tasking duties. Pass annual vision screening upon hire. Qualifications – Required 2 years of maintenance, electronics or electrical experience; or 2‑year technical degree. U.S. citizenship (required for all positions that involve handling of controlled information). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills. Ability to follow written or verbal procedures and instructions. Good organizational skills. Compliance with all EH&S rules and guidelines. Qualifications – Preferred Knowledge of SAP, Solumina, and MRP. Five to six years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint. Experience with quality procedures. Work Hours Second shift, Monday – Thursday: 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM (training on first shift). Overtime may be required.
