Coaching positions require the following Continuing Education Requirements: · GCS Safety Videos Required Annually:

• FERPA: Confidentiality of Records
• GCS – Code of Ethics & Social Media
• GCS – Information Security Mgmt System
• GCS – Safety Training
• GCS – Mandated Reporter
• Hazard Communication: Right to Understand
• Sexual Harrassment: Staff to Staff

· NFHS Courses Required Annually:

• Concussion in Sport
• Heat Illness Prevention
• Protecting Students from Abuse
• NFHS Accredited Interscholastic Coach – Required Once for all New Head Coaches
• Fundamentals of Coaching ($60)
• Football Coaches – Heads UP Football Safety Coach Certification
• Strength Coaches – NHSSCA – Must be certified to receive the strength supplement
• Training Required in 1 st Year then Every 2 Years:
• CPR – The GCS CPR certification process is offered in a blended learning format, which means you complete an online course FIRST, and then follow it with a hands-on skills evaluation session within a maximum of 60 days after online course completion.
• First Aid for Adults, Children and Infants
