Registered Nurse - Oncology Chemo Certified | Travel | Valparaiso, IN

Assignment Overview

This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Oncology with a chemotherapy certification required. The role involves providing patient care in an oncology clinic setting, mainly in Valparaiso, IN, with occasional travel to Crown Point, IN. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling chemotherapy administration and patient support.

Assignment Details

• Shift: Main shift 7 AM to 4 PM, rotating 8 AM to 4:30 PM
• Location: Primary location in Valparaiso with floating to Crown Point
• Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2704.8 (negotiable)
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Ratio: Days - 5
• Number of Openings: Not specified

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and monitor patient response
• Manage central lines and implanted ports
• Perform phlebotomy and manage infusion pumps
• Provide patient and family education and support
• Recognize and manage treatment side effects

Qualifications

Required:

• Valid IL RN license
• ACLS, BLS, Chemo (ONS/ONCC) certifications
• Experience with Epic charting system
• Minimum of 2 years of oncology nursing experience
• Proficiency in chemotherapy administration and care
• Skills in accessing and managing ports and performing intravenous therapies
