Balance Health Overview Balance Health, majority owned by its podiatrists, is the nation’s premier comprehensive lower‑extremity focused Physician Practice. We provide leading podiatrists, orthopedic surgeons, and physical therapists with operational support so they can spend their time focused on growing their business and delivering exceptional patient care. Position Podiatrist – Foot and Ankle Center of the Rockies Full‑time. The podiatrist will travel to Denver metro area clinics and, under the direction of the CMO, provide routine and referral podiatric services to patients. Essential Functions Examine patients’ legs and feet to diagnose diseases Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles Perform procedures as necessary along with wound care management Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x‑rays, and laboratory test results Prescribe medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems Provide education/consultation to patients, family, and the health care team Provide health promotion and preventive medicine Appropriately maintain medical records on assigned patients Qualifications Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an accredited School of Podiatry Board certification through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery Ability to observe, assess and record symptoms, reactions, and progress Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with diverse patient, colleague, and vendor populations Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and EMR database Legal proof of eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future Successfully pass an in‑depth background investigation, including a clean DMV report and pre‑employment drug screen Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds Ability to sit and/or stand for several hours at a time Ability to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, and identify equipment and supplies Must be able to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues Ability to use hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy, including frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care Compensation / Benefits Competitive physician salary program with a base of $150 K – $175 K plus a compensation plan depending on experience level Benefit eligibility for full‑time employees working 30+ hours weekly begins the first of the month following 30 days of employment Eligibility to participate in the 401(k) program begins the first of the month following 60 days of employment Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans Generous Call Stipend Health Savings Account with Employer Contribution Flexible Spending Account option Generous PTO program Employee Assistance Program Life and AD&D Insurance Short‑Term and Long‑Term Disability Balance Health provides equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants and employees without regard to any legally protected classes, including, but not limited to age, gender, gender identity, genetic information, marital status, medical condition, mental/physical disability, national origin, pregnancy, race/color, religion, sexual orientation, or military/veteran status.
