FastTrack Aircraft Technician (Get Your A&P)

Overview:

• This job helps you to obtain your A&P License (paid for by the company), while being paid hourly, and then enter their maintenance hangar as a fully-licensed A&P Mechanic. Work is 100% on-site in Wichita, KS.

Job Description:

• Candidates will complete 4 weeks of classroom work and 2 weeks of testing to obtain the A&P License
• After the 6-week program is complete, you will start work as an A&P Mechanic for one of the world's largest aviation companies
• Perform maintenance, repair, and testing of systems and components on corporate aircraft
• Perform troubleshooting and functional testing of airframe and powerplant components both in the hangar and on the flightline
• Other duties may be assigned

Requirements:

• Must have 8610-2 sign-offs and/or 4+ years of aircraft maintenance experience in the military to be qualified
• Tools are required after 6-week program

Pay:

• During the 6-week program: $30/hr
• After licensed, pay is increased based off years of aircraft maintenance experience prior to this program:
  • 3-5 years: $33 - $36/hr
  • 6-9 years: $37 - $39/hr
  • 10+ years: $40 - $41/hr
• Sign-on Bonus: $2500 - $5000, which you get once you go direct with the company (around the 4-month mark)

Work Schedule:

• The 6-week program will be 1st shift
• Once you complete the program, you must be flexible on shift - the company operates various shifts throughout the week (It's likely that you will be placed on an off shift (2nd or 3rd) to start)

Terms of Placement:

• 4-month Contract to Hire, meaning you'll contract with Aerotek for around 4 months and then go direct with the company
• There is a 2-year commitment to the company for this program, meaning if you were to leave before the 2-year mark, you may have to pay up to $5,000 back to the company as reimbursement for them paying for your A&P License

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $41.00/hr.
