Your work matters to the residents and businesses we serve.Work Schedule: 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Possible standby hoursIf you're hands-on, dependable, safety-conscious, and take pride in serving your community, we invite you to bring your skills to a team where accountability, empowerment, innovation, and ownership are part of how we work every day.Join Roads & Stormwater and help keep our community moving, connected, and prepared.Duties and ResponsibilitiesOperates dump truck and flatbed truck.Works with and assist heavy equipment operator.Operates heavy equipment on an as needed basis.Assists with installation and repair of storm water sewer lines.Assists with repair, removal and installation of sidewalks and walkways.Assists with forming, pouring, and finishing concrete.Removes and repairs asphalt.Performs regular routine maintenance and service of trucks and equipment.Performs related work as assigned.Minimum Education and Experience RequirementsHigh School graduation or GED equivalent is preferred.Maintenance of a valid State of Florida Class B Commercial Driver's License or ability to obtain within 150 days of employment which meets requirements outlined in the city's personal rules and regulation manual with an acceptable driving history.Required to have the below listed certifications or the ability to obtain within 150 days of employment.Stormwater Level 1Maintenance of Traffic Level 1Trenching and ShoringConfined SpaceForklift OperatorFEMA 100, 200, 700, 800Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesPhysical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
