In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide

As an In-Home Caregiver with Wellspring Lutheran Services, you become the steady, reassuring presence that makes that possible. Your visits bring comfort, dignity and connection to individuals who rely on your support to live independently. This work isn't just a list of tasks. It's the chance to build meaningful relationships, to brighten someone's day, and to help them feel seen and valued. Every meal you prepare, every conversation you share, every moment of assistance you offer becomes part of a larger story of trust and care.

What your days may include:

• Traveling to clients' homes or facilities to offer support that helps them thrive assisting with dressing, grooming and bathing; preparing meals that fit their diet plans; helping with light housekeeping and laundry; and offering companionship that brings joy and connection.
• Assisting with grocery shopping or errands, support safe transfers and positioning, providing personal hygiene support and medication reminders, or helping with exercises as directed.
• Responding promptly to client needs, protecting their rights, and ensuring their privacy, dignity and well-being.

This role calls for someone who can manage time well, work independently, and bring a positive attitude to each visit.

What helps you succeed:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CNA license preferred (not required).
• Experience working with seniors or in a caregiving role preferred.
• Valid Michigan driver's license, auto insurance and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to work independently.
• Commitment to quality care and a warm, encouraging presence.

Schedule and Pay:

• Full-time or Part-time positions available.
• Ability to be flexible for shift times.
• Day Shift.
• Occasional weekend shifts based on client needs.
• Pay Rate: $14.00 $15.25 per hour, based on experience, CNA licensure and certifications.
• Pay increase after 6 months of employment.
