Repair Technician

Green Valley Pools | Full-Time | Monday–Friday, Early Start Shift (with occasional on-call weekend availability)

Green Valley Pools is growing, and we're looking for a Repair Technician who is ready to raise the bar for our service department. This is not an entry-level "just show up and fix it" position — we are building a team of technicians who take ownership of every job, every customer relationship, and every day of professional growth. • Monday through Friday, early morning start times to minimize heat exposure during peak summer hours

• Occasional on-call availability during high-volume weekends to support the team, guide technicians through their day by phone, and ensure customers are taken care of

• Diagnose and repair swimming pool equipment and plumbing systems with precision and care

• Build accurate repair quotes on site that account for your labor time and the correct product needed for the job

• Present customers with Good, Better, Best options on every quote and repair, in line with the Green Valley Pools standard, whether they've requested a specific product or are looking for your recommendation

• Complete all quotes the same day the job is visited — no exceptions

• Use an iPad daily to document job notes, findings, and completed work — entries must be logged the same day the job is performed

• Communicate directly with customers before, during, and after each visit to explain findings, set expectations, and confirm satisfaction, including a required follow-up with the customer before leaving for the day

• Represent Green Valley Pools as a trusted, knowledgeable face of the company in every customer interaction

• Support and coach fellow technicians in the field — a quick tip, a corrected technique, or a call to a manager or teammate to share what you've observed

• Work independently with confidence, while remaining a reliable, collaborative member of the broader team

• Move fluidly between the field, your truck (as a mobile office), and our office alongside the rest of the staff, adapting to whatever the day requires

• Stay current as the pool service industry evolves, and bring a genuine willingness to learn new techniques, tools, and technology

• Solid working knowledge of swimming pools and pool equipment

• Experience with plumbing repairs

• A learning mentality — someone who is never satisfied with "good enough" and is always looking to sharpen their skills

• Tech-savvy and comfortable operating an iPad and job management software

• Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and follow-through

• A true people person — customer-facing, personable, and able to build trust quickly

• Strong integrity and a genuine commitment to doing the right thing, even when no one is looking

• Comfortable working solo, but equally strong as a team player who supports others

• Confident enough to coach, teach, or respectfully correct a fellow technician when needed

• Adaptable and unafraid of change in a fast-evolving industry

• Dependable, accountable, and well-rounded — someone who takes ownership of outcomes, not just tasks

Pay is based on experience. This role also offers incentive pay opportunities, which are refreshed seasonally to reflect current business priorities and goals. Pay increases are evaluated after the first year of employment and are contingent on meeting defined performance and goal criteria.
