ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER - ORTHOPEDIC SHOULDER SURGERY

The Christ Hospital Health Network is in search of an advanced practice provider to join our musculoskeletal service line. This job will include working one-on-one with an orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder surgery. The APP will be responsible for assistance in the clinic and operating room settings, as well as weekday/weekend rounding and office-based call coverage. We are looking for a highly motivated APP who is eager to learn and will take initiative to find ways of increasing surgeon efficiency and deliver comprehensive patient care.

Shift: Full-Time (1.0 FTE), Day shift


Location: The Christ Hospital Health Network- including but not limited to the following locations:

• Red Bank Outpatient Center (4460 Red Bank Expressway, Cincinnati, OH 45227)
• Green Township Outpatient Center (5885 Harrison Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45248)
• Joint and Spine Center (2139 Auburn Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45219)
• Montgomery Outpatient Center (11140 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, OH 45249)

Position Description: Provider will serve as a full-time Orthopedic Shoulder Surgery APP.

Job Overview : The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) may be a PA or NP that has been prepared with the appropriate graduate level education and authorized to practice and prescribe as such. The duties for this position include but are not limited to seeing orthopedic shoulder consults, follow ups, and post-operative patients. This position will include outpatient office responsibilities.

The schedule will include working five days per week (Monday through Friday) at various TCH locations in the region; in addition to occasional weekend rounding. General orthopedic and/or orthopedic shoulder experience is preferred but not required.

Education: Graduate from accredited Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.

License/Certification:

• DEA license
• BLS and ACLS certified

Certified Nurse Practitioner: Acute Care, Adult, or Family Nurse Practitioner certification verified by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN), American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Current, valid license (registration) by the Ohio Board of Nursing or applicable state board

OR

Physician Assistant: Graduate from accredited physician assistant program with a Master's Degree Physician Assistant Certification (verified by the National Commission or the Certification of Physician Assistant - NCCPA. Current, valid license (registration) by the state Medical Board of Ohio or applicable state medical board. Current Certificate to prescribe by the State Medical Board of Ohio.
