The Stow Company is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Sr. Manager, Product Management located in Holland, MI .  We are the country’s premier source for custom closets and organizational solutions; designed, custom-cut, and shipped directly to our clients.

Primary Purpose of Position:

The Sr. Manager, Product Management, is accountable for Stow's product roadmap — optimizing across revenue growth, cost savings, operational efficiency, and customer intimacy to shape what Stow's physical and digital product offerings become next across our dealer, direct-to-consumer, and retail channels. Reporting to the Vice President of Brand Management, this role bridges where Product is headed and how it gets there day-to-day: building the systems, documentation, and team capability that let Product operate with rigor and executional excellence.

This is a hands-on, high-visibility, working-leader role. Beyond leading the product team, the Sr. Manager is expected to build trust across the organization — with Operations, Sales, Marketing, IT, Program Management, and executive leadership — and to bring forward clear, data-informed recommendations that connect product decisions to business outcomes.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Customer Insight

• Own the product roadmap across Stow's channels, translating market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape into recommended prioritized initiatives.
• Build detailed business cases for major initiatives — technical requirements, revenue projections, and ROI — to align product direction with company priorities.
• Identify and evaluate new product and partnership opportunities, translating them into marketable concepts.

Team Leadership & Systems Building

• Lead and develop the product management and product development team, building the technical and leadership skills the team needs to scale.
• Create the systems, documentation, and repeatable processes that let Product operate with rigor instead of reacting project to project — including root-causing recurring execution issues
• Diagnose resourcing and process gaps using data, not just intuition.
• Anchor the team's day-to-day work in org priorities, keeping the focus on impact over activity.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Build strong, proactive partnerships and trust with Operations, IT, Marketing, Sales, and Program Management to drive shared solutions across department boundaries.
• Represent Product in cross-functional planning and project reviews, and own the follow-through on commitments made.
• Partner with Program Management to ensure work is clearly scoped, documented, and ready for execution after it reaches the team.

Executive Engagement & Business Judgment

• Maintain a direct line to executive leadership on product plans, metrics, and roadmap progress.
• Bring forward clear, well-reasoned recommendations, and manage confidently through follow-up questions and pushback.
• Connect product decisions explicitly to business outcomes (revenue, margin, customer intimacy) when presenting to leadership.

Financial Acumen & Pricing Strategy

• Partner with Finance to shape product pricing recommendations, lifecycle management, and profitability analysis.
• Ensure product decisions balance market competitiveness with Stow's financial goals.

The Stow Company may temporarily assign any team member with duties outside of their normal responsibilities.  Such assignments may be warranted due to a variety of specific requirements, conditions and/or the capabilities of available personnel.  Management will determine the nature and duration of those assignments.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  Education & Experience:

• 8+ years of product management experience, including time spent building or scaling repeatable processes.
• Experience hiring, managing, and developing both individual contributors and future leaders.
• SAP ERP experience preferred

  Knowledge / Skills/Abilities:

• Track record of building trust and driving outcomes across functions without direct authority.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking; comfortable building a business case from scratch.
• Skilled in giving and receiving direct, constructive feedback.
• Executive presence — able to bring a recommendation to senior leadership and hold your position under scrutiny.
• Interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with individuals both internally and externally to The Stow Company
• Must have excellent customer service skills; including strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must have the ability to interface with all levels of personnel in an office and a manufacturing environment
• Ability to take the initiative and work well independently with little supervision, and as part of a team

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Sitting at workstation approximately 80 percent of work time
• Standing and walking approximately 20 percent of work time
• Must be able to travel between plant and office locations
• Ability to work overtime or occasionally on weekends with short notice
• Typical office environment with shelves overhead and above work surfaces
• Manufacturing environment with multiple machinery and moving parts
