About the Role
The Company is in search of an Associate Vice Chancellor for Civil Rights to serve as a strategic, agile, and collaborative leader in the systemwide civil rights enterprise. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing centralized strategic planning, oversight, support, and resources to the university-level Title IX and other civil rights offices. This role involves leading a team of 15 professionals, including Systemwide Senior Directors for Civil Rights, and serving as a key advisor to the Vice Chancellor and campus leadership on all civil rights and compliance matters. The AVC will also be tasked with ensuring the implementation of best practices, compliance with state and federal laws, and the accurate and timely management of information related to civil rights. The AVC will also be involved in the support of investigations, hearings, and resolutions, as well as managing whistleblower complaints. A strong background in civil rights, a commitment to diversity and inclusion, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders are essential for this position.
