Job Description Locations: Memphis, TN Brentwood, TN Knoxville, TN Qualifications Qualifications: Must have an active RN / LPN license in Tennessee or a compact state. Knowledge and experience with HEDIS or supplemental data project abstraction methods preferred. HEDIS or supplemental data project experience is preferred but not required. Experience in medical record review is preferred. Some travel involved. Ability to work independently with excellent organizational skills. Excellent telephone and communication skills required. Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Must successfully complete the offered training program and meet performance goals. Responsibilities The contract nurse is responsible for retrieving, reviewing, and abstracting medical record data for multiple and complex STARS and HEDIS measures, and entering data into the quality program tool. This includes performing on-site medical record reviews at physician offices or in the office, collaborating with clinical and non-clinical staff regarding provider scheduling and record retrieval. The nurse must perform duties professionally, efficiently utilizing time and resources. Computer proficiency is required, and experience with electronic data transfer and removable media is desirable. A professional appearance, current valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation are necessary for project participation.
