Business/Data Analyst

We are seeking a Business/Data Analyst to support data-driven initiatives within a fast-paced financial services environment. This role is ideal for candidates with strong analytical skills, hands-on SQL experience, and an interest in working with financial data and business processes. The ideal candidate will help analyze datasets, generate insights, support reporting initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational and business performance. Qualifications Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Economics, or related field 1–2 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar analytical role Strong SQL skills with experience writing queries, analyzing datasets, and generating reports Understanding of financial services, banking, mortgage, or related financial business domains Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into data-driven insights Proficiency with Excel and data visualization/reporting tools is preferred Preferred/Nice-to-Have Skills Experience with Python for data analysis or automation Exposure to AWS cloud services or cloud-based data environments Familiarity with ETL processes, dashboards, or BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI Understanding of Agile or Scrum environments Responsibilities Analyze business and financial data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting and data validation Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and support decision-making Create reports, dashboards, and data summaries for business users and leadership Assist with data quality checks and troubleshooting data discrepancies Support ongoing process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives Work closely with technical and business teams in a collaborative environment McLean, VA May 27, 2026 #J-18808-Ljbffr AKTRA INC
