Survey Crew Chief

Job Description Dewberry is currently looking for a Survey Crew Chief to perform a variety of tasks associated with land surveying and civil engineering in our Charlotte, NC office. Responsibilities * Field work associated with land surveying. * Perform Boundary, Topographic, Tree & Channel Surveys. * Assisting with survey computations and data collection as needed. * Other duties as assigned. Required Skills & Required Experience * A minimum of 3 years of survey experience * Associates or Bachelors Degree in Surveying is preferred * Able to operate Topcon Total Stations, Lieca GPS, static, RTK, RTN * Familiarity with NCDOT Electronic Field Book (EFB) data collection * Ability to shoot Topography * Ability to work remotely under rigorous conditions * Familiarity with construction plans and RW maps * Certified Survey Technician, Level II or III (CST) or ability to obtain within specified timeframe * Utility designating experience a plus * Excellent communication skills * Must be reliable Additional Requirements: * Have the ability to work out of town, flexible with work area * Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record. * Physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and terrains. * Ability to repetitively stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 50 lbs; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes, in addition to ability to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces. * At this time, Dewberry will not sponsor a new applicant for work authorization. * Dewberry is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
