Radiology - Echo / Cardiac Sonographer

Echocardiography Technologist

Rotating shifts, including weekends, with overnight call from 5:30 PM to 6:30 AM, 2-3 nights per month.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Join a busy inpatient echocardiography lab at a tertiary care hospital with a Level I trauma center. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform 7-8 echocardiograms per day, including transthoracic, stress, and transesophageal echocardiograms.
• Utilize 3D echo and strain imaging appropriately.
• Maintain strict adherence to lab standards and protocols for consistency and diagnostic accuracy.
• Optimize image quality using meticulous scanning techniques and effective equipment settings.
• Manage high-volume workflows in a critical care environment while ensuring superior diagnostic quality.
• Provide exceptional patient care and clear communication throughout procedures.
• Participate in case reviews, feedback sessions, and collaborative teamwork to foster continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with ASE and IAC standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 5 years of echocardiography experience.
• At least 2 years of acute inpatient echo experience in a Level I trauma facility.
• Proficiency in a wide range of high-quality echocardiography procedures.
• In-depth knowledge of complex cardiac anatomy and pathology.
