Director of Nursing (DON)

Post-Acute & Long-Term Care

An established post-acute and long-term care organization is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and results-driven Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong nursing leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional resident care while supporting and developing a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.

As the Director of Nursing, you will oversee all nursing operations, ensure regulatory compliance, promote clinical excellence, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for all nursing services within the facility.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.

• Lead, mentor, and develop nursing managers and clinical staff.

• Monitor quality measures and implement performance improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to achieve positive clinical outcomes.

• Maintain survey readiness and oversee plans of correction when necessary.

• Manage staffing, scheduling, and labor resources to support quality resident care.

• Partner with physicians, residents, families, and community stakeholders to ensure exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.

• Minimum of 2 years of Director of Nursing experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.

• Thorough knowledge of CMS regulations, state survey processes, and infection prevention standards.

• Proven leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
