Functional Medicine Clinician (NP / PA / MD / DO)

Location: 100% Remote (Candidates must reside in the United States; California residency or an active California license preferred)
Job Type: Part-Time (10-25 hours/week) with the potential to transition to Full-Time within 6-12 months
Setting: Outpatient Telehealth

We are seeking an experienced Functional Medicine Clinician (NP, PA, or exceptional MD/DO) to join a growing remote practice focused on delivering personalized, root-cause care for patients with complex chronic conditions. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment while helping patients improve their long-term health through evidence-based functional medicine.

The ideal candidate has experience managing complex, overlapping chronic illnesses and is passionate about providing individualized, patient-centered care.

• Conduct comprehensive telehealth evaluations and follow-up visits.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that address the root causes of illness.

• Manage patients with complex chronic conditions and monitor treatment progress.

• Educate patients on functional medicine principles and lifestyle interventions.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary clinical team on patient care and case discussions.

• Assist in developing clinical protocols and evidence-based best practices.

• Utilize telemedicine platforms, AI documentation tools, and digital healthcare technologies.

• Mentor clinicians participating in educational or fellowship programs.

• Contribute to patient education materials and wellness initiatives.

• Part-Time (10-25 hours per week)

• Flexible weekday schedule

• Typical working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Pacific Time

• No weekends or on-call responsibilities

• Opportunity to transition to Full-Time within 6-12 months

• Primarily adult patients

• Average patient age: Approximately 49 years

• Initial patient panel of approximately 50-75 patients (based on licensure)

• Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license (Exceptional MD/DO candidates will also be considered)

• Active California license required

• Must reside in the United States

• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience (5+ years preferred)

• Functional Medicine experience

• Experience treating complex chronic conditions, including:

  • Mold-related illness

  • Tick-borne disease

  • Autoimmune disorders

  • Hormonal imbalances

  • Gut health disorders

• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment

• Excellent communication and patient engagement skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Proficiency with telemedicine platforms, Zoom, Google Workspace, and AI-based clinical tools

• IFM and/or ADAPT certification

• Multi-state licensure or willingness to obtain additional licenses

• Experience with advanced functional diagnostic testing (blood, stool, saliva, urine)

• Experience with peptide therapy and longevity-focused treatments

• $70-$85 per hour , based on experience
