PRN Speech-Language Pathologist — Pediatric Outpatient | Murfreesboro, TN

At Little Luminaries, we help children build confident communication skills in a fun, play-based, and supportive environment. Our approach is strengths-based and neurodiversity-affirming, celebrating each child's unique way of communicating and connecting with the world. Speech therapy here is never about drills, pressure, or compliance — we focus on reducing demands, building trusting relationships, and modeling language naturally in meaningful, joyful moments. We're looking to add an experienced SLP to the team, with flexibility in how the role is structured depending on what you're looking for. Option 1 — Regular weekly caseload Standing after-school appointment slots, 2:30–6:00 PM, on the days that work for you. Build a consistent caseload of your own clients within this window. Option 2 — PRN / as-needed coverage Full-caseload coverage (~40 pediatric clients) during an extended medical leave, potentially starting as early as the coming months, Tuesday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:45 PM, with a built-in 90-minute to 2-hour lunch break daily Occasional coverage for travel and illness outside of that window Exact dates aren't finalized yet — this is coverage we're planning ahead for. These options aren't mutually exclusive; a clinician taking the after-school caseload could also pick up PRN coverage when needed, or vice versa. About us We work with children ages 2 through 18, as well as adults with developmental disabilities, across speech sound disorders, language delays, fluency, literacy, and AAC. Dr. Taylor Hickok, DBH, CCC-SLP, brings 10 years of pediatric experience, formal training across AAC systems (TouchChat, LAMP Words for Life, Unity, Tobii Dynavox), a Gestalt Language Processing framework, and is currently working toward DIR-Floortime certification. As a neurodivergent clinician with neurodivergent family, she built this practice around the belief that every way of communicating is worth celebrating. Who we're looking for Minimum 5 years of pediatric SLP experience Experienced supporting AAC users — comfortable with aided language modeling, core vocabulary approaches, and speech-generating devices Autism-informed, child-led, neurodiversity-affirming clinical approach — genuine alignment with this philosophy, not just familiarity with the terminology Willing to learn Gestalt Language Processing/Natural Language Acquisition principles if not already trained; prior experience a strong plus Willing to take coursework in DIR/Floortime if not already certified — we can support this Active Tennessee SLP license and ASHA CCC Willingness to complete payer credentialing (in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield; CAQH attestation current) — we'll support this process What we offer Competitive per-session or hourly contractor rate (details on request) Malpractice coverage provided under the practice's policy Use of our EMR, established documentation templates, and existing client charts/plans of care A warm, collaborative practice culture built around genuine clinical alignment, not just credentials #J-18808-Ljbffr Little Luminaries Therapy Services
