Research Faculty - Cancer Prevention and Control (Open Rank/Track Faculty)

Job Description Faculty to serve in the Division of Cancer Prevention and Control within the Department of Internal Medicine; embarks on a program of research and obtains funding; prepares manuscripts for publications; assists students, fellows and other junior faculty members in the area of research; performs other duties as required. Minimum Education Required Doctorate (Academic) or equivalent combination of education and experience with a major in Internal Medicine Required Qualifications Advanced training in cancer, epidemiology, health outcomes and/or cancer prevention/control required. MD candidates must hold a current Ohio medical license and be board certified in Internal Medicine. Evidence of success in peer-reviewed research funding, publication and teaching/mentoring or clinical work, as appropriate, is also required. Faculty Types and Roles Tenure faculty (regardless of rank): duties include research, service, teaching, and clinical practice; must hold a doctorate or terminal degree. Clinical faculty (regardless of rank): focus on clinical care; may also teach and/or conduct research; appointed for 3–5 year terms and may be reappointed. Research faculty (regardless of rank): focus primarily on research; not eligible for tenure; appointments for 1–5 years.
