Position Overview
NPORT is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist for a per diem, as-needed opportunity within an impatient hospital setting located in Brooklyn and the Bronx. This role is ideal for clinicians seeking flexible scheduling while delivering high-quality rehabilitative care to patients in an acute/inpatient environment.

The Physical Therapist will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve mobility, manage pain, and enhance patients' overall functional independence during their inpatient stay.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and establish appropriate treatment goals
• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans
• Provide bedside therapy and mobility training as appropriate
• Monitor patient progress and modify interventions as necessary
• Accurately document services in accordance with regulatory and facility standards
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises and discharge planning
• Maintain compliance with all New York State and Federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Current New York Physical Therapist license (required)
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT) or PT
• Current BLS Certification
• Minimum of 1 year of inpatient or acute care physical therapy experience required
• Strong clinical judgement and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Please note: Independent contractors are required to have workers' compensation, malpractice insurance, cyber insurance, and undergo OSHA training.
