This job location is currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and/or Medically Underserved Areas/Populations (MUA/P) Shortage Designation Type.

What You Will Do

Ascension Medical Group Via Christi is looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible, fellowship trained Cardiothoracic Surgeon for our team in Wichita, Kansas.


Position Highlights:

• Employed opportunity with Ascension Via Christi Medical Group
• High-volume cardiac and thoracic service line with strong referral network
• Collaborative environment with excellent support staff and experienced OR teams

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive surgical care for cardiac and thoracic patients.
• Participate in call rotation with other cardiothoracic surgeons.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, intensivists, and other specialists to provide integrated care.
• Participate in academic programs (eg medical education and research) as requested.
• Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
• Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
