The position offers 12-hour day or night shifts and requires nurses who are comfortable caring for a diverse acute-care patient population.\n \n Assignment Details:\n \n Specialty: Med/Surg / Telemetry\n Contract: 8 weeks\n Start Date: ASAP\n Shift Options: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM\n Schedule: 4 × 12-hour shifts\n Weekly Hours: 48 hours\n Work Week: Sunday–Saturday\n Payroll: Bi-weekly\n Experience: Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience\n Responsibilities\n \n Provide direct nursing care to patients on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit.\n Complete comprehensive assessments and continuously monitor patient conditions.\n Monitor telemetry and recognize changes in cardiac rhythms or patient status.\n Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately.\n Manage multiple patients while prioritizing care according to acuity and clinical needs.\n Perform wound care, medication administration, IV-related procedures, and other nursing interventions as required.\n Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care.\n Document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient responses accurately in the medical record.\n Recognize changes in patient condition and communicate concerns promptly.\n Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and patient education.\n Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.\n Follow infection-control procedures, patient-safety practices, and facility policies.\n Respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations.\n Additional Assignment Information\n \n Orientation: Billable\n OT: 1.5× after 48 hours/week\n Call-Back: 1.5×\n On-Call: $2.05/hour\n Holiday: 1.5×\n Orientation: Billable\n Payroll: Bi-weekly\n \n Holiday Rate Applies To: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.Candidate Requirements\n \n Active RN license applicable to the assignment\n Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience\n Strong Med/Surg and Telemetry experience\n Comfortable working 12-hour shifts\n Ability to manage multiple patients in an acute-care environment\n Strong assessment, communication, documentation, and clinical judgment skills\n \n About Encode INC\n \n At Encode, we empower organizations and individuals through innovative, human-centric workforce and technology solutions.
