U.S. Customs Broker Entry Specialist/Writer

As an entry specialist, a candidate must possess the ability to manage multiple import customer accounts, ensuring full compliance with US Customs regulatory requirements and Company Policies. You will be required to submit, process and transmit customs entries and other filings, securing timely clearances for all import transactions, and successfully resolving any documentation discrepancies. This includes, but is not limited to:

· Verifying arrival information (track, trace and confirm) with carriers and preparing customs broker file for clearance and dispatching shipments for delivery through our network of trucking companies

· Ensuring shipments are fully cleared by US Customs through ACE queries and carrier confirmations

· Organizing shipment delivery for imported goods upon clearance (coordinating with trucking companies and updating our customers on delivery status as needed)

Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting the Customs Brokerage Manager and other team members with various assessments, audits, as well as providing daily support to the team members.

What we are seeking:

• 2+ years of U.S. customs brokerage / import experience, ideally including clearance through all participating government agencies, HTS classification
• Proficiency in Magaya Customs software is a plus
• Solid knowledge of U.S. customs regulations and HTS classification
• Knowledge of ACE, AMS queries, entry summary data and fields
• Comfortable with general office and data entry work, including ACE compliance requirements
• Detail-oriented, organized, and client-focused
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
