Production Coordinator

Promote a culture of safety and ensure work complies with company, OSHA, and MSHA standards Ensure team members have the skills to perform their roles safely and effectively Participate in safety committees, training programs, and risk assessments Oversee compliance with environmental regulations across plant operations Collaborate with Quality Control and other departments to troubleshoot and maintain product quality Monitor and manage plant equipment and oversee production performance Ensure equipment startup and shutdown procedures are followed Assign work schedules and authorize overtime Ensure adequate staffing Initiate and follow up on maintenance work orders Ensure equipment operates reliably and efficiently Complete daily production reports and track issues Report unsafe areas or practices Manage cement shipments and communicate quarry operations to relevant teams Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent education/experience MSHA certification or ability to obtain it within a reasonable timeframe 3 to 5 years of experience in operations or a related industrial role Supervisory experience preferred Cement process experience is a plus Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software systems Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent troubleshooting and decision‑making abilities Strong attention to detail and ability to manage priorities Effective teamwork, leadership, and interpersonal skills Ability to operate heavy equipment and physically perform essential job functions Ability to pass a physical exam, including back x-ray, vision test, hearing test, functional capability evaluation, respiratory fit test, and drug/alcohol screen Ability to work varying shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays Bilingual Spanish is a plus Must wear protective equipment and adhere to safety protocols Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally and 20 lbs. frequently Must be able to walk, stand, push, pull, and climb frequently Must be able to communicate by phone and radio, hear verbal commands and audible alarms, and work safely around large mobile equipment and automatic conveyor belt systems Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in safety compliance, including OSHA and MSHA standards, while effectively managing plant operations and ensuring product quality.
