Registered Nurse - Electrophysiology Lab

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 4x10 hours, from 07:00 AM to 05:30 PM.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various EP procedures and possess strong skills in patient monitoring and care.

Responsibilities

• Perform baseline measurements and assist with cardiac ablation and mapping procedures.
• Administer cardioversion and conduct conduction studies.
• Insert and program Automatic Implantable Cardiac Defibrillators (AICDs) and pacemakers.
• Participate in scrub procedures and circulate during surgeries.
• Monitor and manage dysrhythmias, including sheath removal and topical hemostasis.
• Utilize EPIC charting system to document patient care accurately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Electrophysiology Lab.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement essential.
• Nursing license in New York is required.
