Staff Accountant - Bilingual (Korean/English)

Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Staff Accountant to join our accounting team and support the financial operations of a dynamic, fast-paced, multi-entity organization. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing account reconciliations, supporting the month-end close process, and assisting with financial reporting and other core accounting functions. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical accounting skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while consistently meeting deadlines. This role requires an individual who takes ownership of their work, proactively identifies and resolves discrepancies, and maintains a high standard of accuracy and professionalism. Key Responsibilities Perform timely and accurate bank reconciliations for multiple entities and accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies and reconciling items. Maintain accurate cash balances and ensure all cash transactions are properly recorded and supported. Reconcile corporate credit card accounts, including transaction coding, receipt verification, and resolution of outstanding items. Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, reclassifications, and other routine and month-end entries. Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring all accounting activities are completed accurately and within established deadlines. Prepare account reconciliations and maintain appropriate supporting schedules and documentation. Support the Accounts Payable function, including invoice review, coding, vendor account reconciliation, payment processing, and resolution of vendor discrepancies. Review financial activity and account balances to identify unusual transactions, discrepancies, and variances. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a Staff Accountant or similar general accounting role. Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, month-end close, accounts payable, cash management, payroll accounting, and financial reporting. Strong Microsoft Excel skills, QuickBooks or other accounting systems required. Experience in hospitality, restaurant, retail, or other high-volume operating environments is highly desirable. Demonstrated experience working in a multi-entity accounting environment preferred. Bilingual in English and Korean strongly preferred.
