Our client is seeking an experienced  Plant Manager to lead overall manufacturing operations and partner closely with executive leadership to drive operational excellence, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This is a highly visible leadership role for a proven manufacturing professional who can effectively balance plant operations, employee relations, customer needs, and strategic business objectives.

As Plant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, production performance, workforce management, and operational profitability. Working directly with the Owner/CEO, you will help develop and execute business strategies, support customer contract management, monitor production costs, and ensure the facility consistently meets productivity, quality, and customer service goals.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong manufacturing background, exceptional operational expertise, and the ability to build high-performing teams while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Plant Operations & Production Management

• Oversee all day-to-day plant operations, manufacturing activities, and production processes.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations across the facility.
• Monitor production performance to achieve productivity, efficiency, quality, and delivery objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and reduce waste.
• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality standards and customer commitments.
• Optimize labor, equipment, and material resources to maximize plant efficiency.

Strategic Leadership

• Partner with the Owner/CEO to develop and execute strategic goals and business plans.
• Support long-term growth initiatives and operational improvements.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, productivity, and overall plant performance.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to support business objectives.

Financial & Cost Management

• Assist the CEO with customer contracts, pricing considerations, and operational planning.
• Monitor and track production costs, labor utilization, and manufacturing efficiencies.
• Develop and implement cost-control strategies to improve profitability.
• Analyze operational data and provide recommendations for business improvement.

Employee Relations & Leadership

• Foster a positive work environment focused on accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement.
• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, managers, and production personnel.
• Address employee relations matters professionally and effectively.
• Promote a culture of safety, respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain strong communication across all levels of the organization.

Customer Satisfaction & Quality

• Partner with customers and internal teams to ensure expectations are consistently exceeded.
• Maintain high standards of quality and deliverable products.
• Resolve operational and production issues that may impact customer satisfaction.
• Support a customer-focused culture throughout the organization.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a  Plant Manager or similar senior manufacturing leadership role.
• Extensive experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong knowledge of plant operations, production management, and operational excellence principles.
• Experience managing budgets, production costs, and profitability initiatives.
• Demonstrated success leading teams and maintaining strong employee relations.
• Strong business acumen and ability to align operational goals with company objectives.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work closely with executive leadership and contribute to strategic planning efforts.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working directly with owners, CEOs, or executive leadership teams.
• Background in production planning, cost analysis, and contract support.
• Experience implementing process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience is a plus.
