Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed ionizing radiation treatment to patients according to physician prescriptions and charts
- Verify patient identity and ensure correct treatment location, while explaining procedures and safety precautions
- Prepare treatment room and equipment, set up immobilization devices, and transfer patient to treatment couch
- Deliver prescribed daily dose under radiation safety guidelines, monitor patients for reactions, and communicate issues to the supervisor and physician
- Maintain treatment records and patient charts, review data to prevent errors and ensure accurate documentation
- Provide supervision and evaluation of students or trainees as applicable

Requirements
- California licensure in Radiation Therapy (or eligible) and BLS required
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (AART-T) required
- Certification in Therapeutic Radiology Technology (RTT) required
- Bachelor’s Degree in radiologic technology or equivalent; Master’s Degree preferred
- At least two years of recent experience in radiologic technology required; Elekta experience preferred but not required
- Fluoroscopy permit preferred; CPR/BLS certification from an approved vendor preferred, with BLS required
