We have excellent opportunities within The Arthur Companies for people that have a desire to grow in their careers, possess strong customer service skills, have an attention to detail, uphold safety requirements and enjoy working in a team oriented environment.Purpose of Position: This position is responsible for transporting product for The Arthur Companies.Responsibilities:Operate company-owned and/or leased trucksPerform completion of all required reportingMaintain all required certifications required by DOT, OSHA and company safety programsMaintain company property in excellent conditionInspects truck before and after trips, requesting repair as neededReads bill of lading to determine assignmentsSecure trailer during transitAssists or individually responsible for loading or unloading of the truckServices truck with oil, fuel and other required fluidsDrives applying knowledge of commercial driving regulationsFollow all applicable traffic lawsFollow accident procedures if an accident occursPerform other tasks as assignedQualifications: The ideal candidate will possess the following:CDL Class A License with a Medical CardThree years of driving experience preferredAcceptable driving recordExcellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and a team playerAbility to:lift a minimum of 50 lbsstand or sit for extended periods of timework in dustopen traps on trailer/trucksclimb a ladder of varying heightsAbout The Company: The Arthur Companies is a diversified agricultural business that includes grain, agronomy services, birdseed and a fertilizer company.
