Project Analyst

, you will work directly with our Senior Vice President, Construction, supporting our affordable multifamily residential general contracting work. This role serves as the SVP's analytical and organizational right hand: preparing reports and analysis, tracking open items to closure, coordinating with project teams, and executing special projects across the portfolio. The ideal candidate is early in their career, comfortable with numbers, organized under pressure, and eager to learn the business of affordable multifamily construction from the executive level. This position offers broad exposure to preconstruction, operations, finance, and business development, and a clear path to growth within the company. Responsibilities: Analysis & Reporting Portfolio reporting:

Compile and maintain recurring reports on project status, budgets, schedules, cost-to-complete, change orders, and cash flow for the SVP’s review. Financial analysis:

Analyze job cost data, buyout results, fee and general conditions performance, and variance to budget; flag trends and risks. Market research:

Research subcontractor capacity, material pricing trends, competitors, affordable housing owners/developers, and market conditions as requested. Presentations:

Prepare executive-level summaries, dashboards, and presentation decks for internal leadership, owners, lenders, and partners. Follow-Up & Coordination Action item tracking:

Maintain the SVP’s running list of open items, commitments, and deadlines; follow up with project managers, superintendents, and department heads to drive items to closure. Meeting support:

Prepare agendas and pre-read materials, take notes, and distribute action items following leadership, project review, and owner meetings. Special Projects Process improvement:

Help develop and roll out standardized templates, reports, and workflows across the affordable multifamily group. Systems and data:

Support adoption of project management and reporting tools; clean up and organize data to improve visibility and accuracy. Ad hoc assignments:

Take on special projects assigned by the SVP, which may include post-project reviews, lessons-learned studies, vendor evaluations, or new initiative planning. Site visits:

Periodically visit active jobsites to observe progress, gather information, and build working relationships with field teams. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Finance, Business, Engineering, Real Estate, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience. 1–3 years of experience in construction, real estate, finance, consulting, or a comparable analytical role (relevant internships considered). Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Experience with or exposure to multifamily residential, mixed-use, or commercial construction projects; affordable housing experience preferred. Familiarity with construction budgets, schedules, pay applications, change orders, and contract documents preferred. Experience with construction software such as Procore, Sage, Viewpoint, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project. Experience with data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Smartsheet) a plus. Core Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interacting with senior leaders, clients, and field personnel. Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Self-starter who takes ownership, follows through without being reminded, and exercises sound judgment with confidential information.
