Role Overview

We are seeking a Supply Chain Specialist for a position responsible for the procurement of materials, equipment, and services. The role involves managing purchase requisitions, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring timely delivery from suppliers while upholding supply chain controls and contributing to process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and review purchase requisitions for materials and services for completeness and proper level of approval.
• Purchase materials, equipment, and incidental services for assigned areas.
• Identify and resolve purchase order and invoice discrepancies in collaboration with AP, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure timely goods receipt and payment.
• Expedite purchase commitments to ensure timely delivery and acceptable performance by suppliers.
• Ensure the proper use of tools and systems to monitor, verify, and implement Supply Chain Controls.
• Utilize practices such as RFQs, bid analysis, and negotiations to ensure maximum value for expenditures.
• Work with other Supply Chain and legal professionals to ensure that contractual terms and conditions are acceptable.
• Maintain awareness of current market conditions, new products, and supply sources for assigned commodities.
• Perform moderately complex price analysis and confer with suppliers to obtain product or service information.
• Participate or lead special projects or initiatives as identified by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications

Education: A bachelor's degree is required. A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Accounting is preferred.

Experience: Two or more years of relevant experience is preferred.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP, Ariba, and Microsoft Office products is required.
