Job Description

The Staff Pad has partnered with a prestigious healthcare organization in Hamilton, TX to find a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join their growing Physical Therapy team. In this role you will administer and oversee physician-prescribed physical therapy treatments and therapeutic modalities to support patient rehabilitation and recovery. What You'll Do Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides physician-directed therapy services by: Delivering physical therapy treatments according to prescribed plans and scheduled appointments Preparing, educating, and monitoring patients throughout treatment sessions to ensure safe and effective care Administering therapeutic exercises, physical agents, and ambulatory procedures while providing age-appropriate care in accordance with departmental policies Documenting treatments accurately and communicating patient progress to therapists, physicians, and leadership Maintaining therapy equipment through routine upkeep, cleaning, sanitization, storage, and minor preventive maintenance Additional Requirements Maintain patient confidentiality and provide exceptional patient service Communicate effectively with medical staff and other healthcare professionals Follow infection control, safety procedures, and Healthcare System policies Process daily therapy service charges

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program Current Texas PTA license required Knowledge of physical therapy equipment and procedures Strong verbal and written communication skills CPR certification Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with patient transfers; push/pull up to 300 lbs as needed
