Role Summary The Respiratory Therapist provides specialized respiratory care by applying critical thinking, clinical skills, and evidence-based practices. A certified professional demonstrates competence through the CRT credential, successfully completing NBRC examinations. Key responsibilities include Assessing patients and developing individualized care plans, Administering medications and treatments as prescribed, Educating patients, families, and caregivers, Collaborating with healthcare teams to enhance care delivery, Providing clinical leadership and supporting ongoing learning, Completing assigned goals efficiently. Qualifications & Skills Current state license and CRT credential in accordance with NBRC, with BLS certification within 14 days of hire, and successful completion of the entry-level exam for respiratory therapists. Recent clinical respiratory care experience in hospital, home care, or skilled nursing settings. Basic computer proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office; experience with EPIC and DME is preferred. Training & Experience Successful hospital and departmental orientation.
