Your unique talents will help shape the future of healthcare while building a career grounded in purpose, growth, and impact.A Day in the LifeThe EHS Manager provides leadership and oversight for environmental, health, and safety programs at Medtronic's Memphis Airways Distribution Center, a large-scale, 24/7 distribution operation that plays a critical role in delivering life-saving products to patients around the world. This role serves as the primary EHS leader for the Airways campus while also supporting additional Memphis-area locations, partnering closely with Operations, Facilities, Engineering, Quality, and site leadership to ensure a safe, compliant, and high-performing work environment. The EHS Manager will build upon the strong foundation already established across the site, helping to further strengthen a culture where safety is embedded in daily operations and decision-making. This individual will lead strategic EHS initiatives, drive continuous improvement efforts, and partner with leaders and employees to proactively identify and mitigate risk in a dynamic distribution environment. Success in this role requires balancing regulatory expertise with strong leadership, influence, and collaboration to advance employee safety, operational excellence, and Medtronic's Mission to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life. We’re working 5 days a week onsite as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary.​Responsibilities may include thefollowingand other duties may be assigned.Develops,administersand implements environmental, health, and safety programsin accordance withgovernmental requirements.Depending on position location, maymonitorpollution prevention activities,complianceand auditing efforts.Conducts studies and prepares environmental impact reports for new construction projects, plantprocessesandpermitchanges.Reviews and analyzes environmental documentation issued by regulatory agencies; collaborates with regulatory agencies todeterminecorrective action plans.Evaluates proposed regulations todeterminefinancial, industrial,publicand environmental impact.Interacts with regulatory bodies to resolve compliance issues;establishespermit requirements andassistsin regulatory audits.Represents Company in government and industry rule-making activities.Ensuresappropriate correctiveaction is taken where environmental, health, and safety hazards exist.Identifies and takes corrective action against activities that pose potential threats to workers’ health or safety, which may include recommending organizational measures to protect workers’ safety through revised methods, processes, or materials; inspecting workplace environments, equipment, and/or practices to ensure compliance with standards and regulations; and investigating and/or identifying causes regarding filed incidents.May provide/promote employee awareness/training onmatters of environmental, health, andsafety.Required QualificationsBachelor’sdegreewith aminimum of 5 years relevant experienceOR anadvanced degree with a minimum of 3 years prior relevant experiencePreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, ora relatedfield.7+ years of EHS experience supporting distribution, warehousing,logistics, manufacturing, or similarly complex operational environments.Experience supporting large-scale operations with 500+ employees and/or multi-shift operations.Experience leading OSHA compliance programs, regulatory inspections, incident investigations, risk assessments, and corrective action processes.Experience implementing or supporting hazard observation, behavior-based safety, orsafetyculture improvement efforts.Experience supporting powered industrialtruck,forklift, or material handling equipment safety programs.Experience supporting multi-site operations or geographically dispersed facilities.Experience with environmental compliance programs including air emissions, hazardous waste, stormwater, or related regulatory requirements.Professionalcertificationsuch as CSP, CIH, CHMM, or equivalent.For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.Physical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position. The physical demands described within the Responsibilities section of this job description are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
