Step into a rewarding opportunity providing school-based speech-language pathology (SLP) services to students! Two contract positions are available for the upcoming school year, supporting elementary and middle school learners on a dynamic educational team.
Start your assignment in early September and continue through early June, making a meaningful impact for students who benefit from your expertise. Both positions involve a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours, working with a caseload of approximately 30–45 students. You’ll collaborate with educators and families to deliver direct SLP interventions and support progress in academic and social communication.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Current Tier 3 or Tier 4 SLP license, including the required school SLP credential (must be in hand prior to start date)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Prior experience working in a K-12 school setting is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques for articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders
- Passionate about culturally responsive and inclusive practices to engage a diverse student population
- Solid time management and organizational skills for managing caseload and documentation
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language evaluations and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver direct and consultative speech therapy services
- Monitor student progress, complete documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with special educators, teachers, and family members
- Participate in professional development as needed
