Base pay range $50.00/hr - $52.00/hr Direct message the job poster from The Judge Group Location: Ivanpah Solar Thermal, Nipton, CA Pay Rate: $50/hour on W2 Contract: 3+ Months About the Role We're looking for a skilled Station Electrician to join our team at the Ivanpah Generating Station—a cutting-edge solar thermal facility located just 30 minutes from Las Vegas Boulevard. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment critical to plant operations. Responsibilities Perform troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of electrical systems (up to 13,800VAC and 250VDC) Read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, transformers, breakers, and control systems Maintain accurate documentation including drawings, manuals, and maintenance records Support other crafts and vendors with installations and repairs Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company procedures Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 3+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience (including apprenticeship) Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles and heavy equipment Preferred Qualifications Training in electronics, pneumatics, or instrumentation Experience with Lock Out/Tag Out procedures Familiarity with power plant electrical systems and switching operations Strong understanding of electrical theory and maintenance practices Ability to work independently and produce high-quality results Proficiency in using hand and power tools Comfortable working in extreme temperatures, heights (up to 450 ft), and rotating shifts Basic computer skills and ability to use maintenance software Working Conditions Outdoor environment with exposure to high voltage equipment and rotating machinery Physical demands include climbing, kneeling, lifting, and working in confined spaces Must be available for 24/7 emergency response and irregular shifts Seniority level Seniority level Not Applicable Employment type Employment type Contract Job function Industries Energy Technology and Utilities Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at The Judge Group by 2x Sign in to set job alerts for “Electrician” roles.
