Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist

Job Description

The Inventory Control Specialist accurately receives, records, and manages incoming products in the inventory database, maintains stock levels through cycle counts, and investigates discrepancies to keep inventory records precise and up to date. This role also operates forklifts to store materials safely and efficiently within the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming products and accurately record all items in the inventory database (Dynamics 365).

• Use forklifts, including Toyota sit-down and stand-up reach trucks, to stock shelves and move materials safely throughout the warehouse.

• Perform regular cycle counts to reconcile physical inventory and locations against computer files.

• Investigate inventory discrepancies and identify the most probable causes of errors.

• Advise on corrective actions to resolve inventory issues and prevent recurrence.

• Handle material movement and storage, ensuring items are properly labeled and organized.

• Manage document control related to inventory, shipping, and receiving activities.

• Perform data entry and scanning tasks to maintain accurate inventory and clerical records.

• Support shipping and receiving processes by verifying counts and documentation.

• Work independently with minimal supervision while meeting productivity and accuracy expectations.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of inventory experience is a plus.

• Hands-on experience with inventory control and inventory management processes.

• Ability to accurately receive, count, and record inventory items.

• Strong computer skills, including working with inventory databases such as Dynamics 365.

• Proficient data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Experience performing cycle counts and reconciling inventory records.

• Forklift operation experience, including sit-down and stand-up reach trucks.

• Material handling experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

• Problem-solving and analytical skills to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.

• Basic math skills to perform counts, reconciliations, and quantity checks.

• Ability to work results-driven and maintain productivity with minimal supervision.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with document control related to inventory and warehouse operations.

• Background in shipping and receiving activities.

• Clerical experience supporting warehouse or inventory functions.

• Scanning and electronic record-keeping experience.

• Comfort working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and moderate noise.

• Ability to adapt to a smaller, more focused warehouse and manufacturing setting.

Work Environment

The role is based in a smaller warehouse and manufacturing facility, rather than a large distribution center. The front of the building includes manufacturing operations where customer parts for ATVs are produced, along with CNC machines and prep areas. Noise levels in the facility can be moderate to high but are not unbearable. The warehouse temperature can be cold or hot depending on the weather, so adaptability to changing conditions is important. You will work around typical warehouse equipment, including forklifts and scanning devices, in a practical, hands-on environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Corona, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.16 - $21.28/hr.
